AETE will create low-cost transportation fuels using our proprietary technology for processing cellulosic biomass into affordable, flexible fuels. Biomass such as wood chips, switchgrass and agricultural waste, is less expensive than food type feed-stocks that were used in the first generation of ethanol and biodiesel plants.

Meridian processes biomass into alternative fuels like ethanol, gasoline and diesel and can also produce polymers, chemicals and biocrude oil. Carliwater, Inc. is an Israeli company to which we have licensed the use of our technologies for the purification and desalinization of water. Many parts of the world lack the fresh water resources needed to support growing populations and agricultural needs. Carliwater is working to deliver a cost-efficient technology for removing salt from sea water and delivering fresh, potable water to these nations in cooperation with The Alternative Energy Technology Center.

Morgan Stacy, Inc. builds equipment used for materials separation and purification. AETE will be the primary R&D, engineering and construction partner for Morgan Stacey. Currently gas separation units are being developed for the oil field service industry. This technological platform is expected to be expanded to provide technologies to clean toxic wastes and for the more efficient processing of human waste products.

Quantum Refining, Inc. is a development stage technology company focused on developing new and revolutionary technologies for the refining of crude oil into transportation fuels, chemicals and plastics. Quantum refining has retained AETE as its technology development partner. They expect to deliver faster, cheaper, safer and more scalable refining technology within five years.

Biomass: Organic plant material, such as grasses, wood, corn stalks, etc. which does not go directly into the food supply.

Biofuels: Transportation fuels produced from plant materials such as ethanol, biodiesel and butanol.

Ethanol: A plant based alcohol used as a transportation fuel produced from biomass, corn or sugar cane.

Biodiesel: A plant based oil processed to burn in diesel engines as an alternative to petroleum diesel

Lignin: A plant based material that can be refined into gasoline and various other chemical products.

Cellulosic: The carbohydrates found in plants that contain six-carbon sugar molecules that can be transformed into sugars and then into ethanol.

Alternative Energy: Energy products produced from renewable sources (in contrast to petroleum) such as wind power, solar power, ethanol and biodiesel.
